Korea Traditional Culture Center to Open VR Experience Zone

The city of Jeonju will open a virtual reality experience zone at the Korea Traditional Culture Center for local residents and tourists next month.

According to the Jeonju IT & CT Industry Promotion Agency, the VR experience zone on the first floor of the Korea Traditional Culture Center (KTCC) will have on offer various video content including balloon making and zero gravity experience programs.

The service will be available for up to four people at a time when it opens to the public next month after a trial period in February.

Thanks to multi-user interactive VR solution dubbed Project Alice that allows a number of people to interact in a virtual space, which means users can swap items between each other, or move groups while enjoying a total of six programs.

Using controllers, users can aim and burst balloons, take apart and assemble car engines and parts, as well as create and exchange objects, as all part of Jeonju’s new technology initiative.
